For the purposes of my final project for "Arts Administration in Asia," I have identified twelve works for my imaginary "Cunty Collection," which spans contemporary art from predominantly female, nonwhite and queer artists. It was important to me to select artists who are not typically included in the historical "canon," and especially artists who challenge the euro-centric gaze, with an emphasis on experimental work. However, I also wanted to collect from a variety of practitioners, so that the collection could reflect my own personal eclectic vibe. I found the works while researching galleries in my neighborhood of the Lower East Side.
