In New York City, I am currently a Community Manager for Artists & Fleas. I also provide expertise to Gallery Chang NY's 2026 programs- crafting blog posts, presenting to the public and facilitating community outreach. As a producer & arts administrator I have been responsible for important behind -the-scenes work, including: defining outreach strategies and initiatives, interfacing with patrons & clients, scheduling, hiring and artist relations.

My grants panelist service has had a national impact on an estimated 3 million dollars in distributed funds to artists and creative programs. This impact has been concentrated in Texas, California and the Mid Atlantic region. In 2026, my panelist roles continue.

In August I conclude my role as the Executive Producer of the MAPFund awarded indie theater project Actus Reus, it premiered April 2026 and my contract ran 2025-2026.

Last year I also finalized service as a National Leader of Color Fellow with Creative West, representing New York to the Regional Arts Organizations. I completed this service while contributing to the nonprofit CAST as their Arts Programs & Events Coordinator, where I was responsible for the deliverables and reporting mechanisms for a 50k NYSCA grant, as well as other grants with regional partners. 

In 2025 I commissioned two photographers, Miles Westrich and Amirah Ibrahim, as well as five live performers, to create and document original works on the shows titular theme at Bushwick's Erf World. The performances took place within the 3rdstorygallery. The two photographers' interpretations of these performers (their final retouched images) were used as the basis for the photo series' exhibition.

Their images were juxtaposed on the two gallery walls, featured in a month long show--a first for both featured photographers. The Sacred & The Profane was a meta experience and meditation on artistic legacy via archives.

Featured artists include: PaperBoyLovePrince, AMA (pictured above,) emé Esquivel, Sam Ligeti, Samantha Paredes and myself. The show was installed by Goldfinch and Hartman. 

In 2018 I was (probably) the youngest director to ever be awarded the prestigious "Our Town" grant by the National Endowment for the Arts to lead my original social practice, performance and public art project "Sacred Voice of the Bayou." The award was distributed by Houston Arts Alliance. The project was supported in roughly 50k in funds.

This work combined themes of heritage, ecology and community. Mediums utilized were metal installation, video art, ethnography, performance art, clowning and experimental dance. Collaborating artists were Matthew Fries, Julian Luna, InputOutput, and Y.E. Torres. Support from curator Rachel Cook, ethnographer Carl Lindahl, the Lawndale/Mason Park communities and councilman Robert Gallegos. Find out more.

In 2021, during the height of SARS-COV-2, I wrote and directed the experimental, surrealist art film, "Jaguars in Jumpsuits." The film was shot in Sydney AU, Los Angeles CA and in New York City. It was edited in Texas. It features original music, costumes, movement, and a diverse cast.

Collaborating artists were Soft Abilez (besomethingsoft), Robert Mackenzie Ross, Gabi, Hannah Hughes, Xochitl and Meadow. It has screened internationally at Fusion Festival, El Clemente Soto Velez, TXRX Labs, and Saint Bimbo. Screening supported by 2021 City Artist Corps Grant by the NY Department of Cultural Affairs. In 2018 I moved to Mexico City to join the internationally renowned rebel artist collective La Pocha Nostra as I was cast in Guillermo Gomez Peña's retrospective at El Museo de Arte Moderno "MAM." The culminating performance that I appeared in alongside Lilian Rivera and Ricardo Gomez was at the heart of Museo de Arte Moderno's sculpture garden. Over 10,000 attendees were present for the final show. This piece is an exploration of the sensuality and fallibility inherent in Christ's image and the false dichotomy of male/female spirituality. In 2016 I collaborated alongside fellow Houston artists with black choreographer Taisha Paggett on their movement project which began in California and had traveled across North America, arriving at this point at Houston's DiverseWorks. Kim Zumpfe was the set designer. Following Taisha's tutelage, I led a public workshop with fellow performance artist Brittani Broussard on movement techniques for connectivity. Find out more.

In 2015 and 2016, I was cast as a writing and performance collaborator for original productions at Counter Current Festival by the Lebanese socio-political troupe Zoukak Theatre. I appeared as David Bowie in the production, "Innocent Violence," and as a Tarahumara woman in "In Walking Distance." Both performances drew heavily on relevant crisis happening in Texas at the time, as we explored issues ranging from the border crisis to toxic masculinity. Find out more about Zoukak Theater.

In 2015, I attended a writing workshop taught by Darcey Steinke at the American University of Paris. I conducted my first interview for the project with her, and was then inspired to speak with more successful women artists around the world. The following year, I  backpacked solo across Europe and North America, supported only by a small grant from my undergraduate, The University of Houston.
