I was an Associate Producer for Williamsburg based Worthless Studios' GOODTIMES GALA in winter 2023. The event featured an Artsy Auction, catering from the Palestinian and Jewish company "LEV," and a showcase of the capstone projects of Artists in-Residence. We partnered with brands including Levi's, Topo Chico, Boxed Water, La Colombe Coffee and Rosenthal Wine Merchants. My job was to support the Lead Producer with booking facilities services, reviewing permits, artist relations, guest check-in, general hospitality, event set up and event break down.
I was the Production Manager for the 2022 New York premiere of Uncovered, produced by Megan Gillis and City Lyric Opera. The work, which is based on Leah Lax’s groundbreaking memoir “Uncovered: How I Left Hasidic Life and Finally Came Home,” was performed at HERE Arts Center in SoHo from Nov. 16-19, 2022. The production was conducted by Jackson McKinnon and directed by Beth Greenberg. Soprano Rachel Policar starred as Leah. As a Production Manager, it was my job to oversee crew hires, backstage production calendars, facilities and technical set up.
I was an Assistant Producer for Yoshiko Chuma's LOVE STORY in 2020 at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. The show was a 24 hour nonstop live broadcast featuring over 60 artists from around the world. Yoshiko Chuma is a Bessie award winning choreographer, activist and iconic East Village artist mainstay.
In 2019 I produced "Performance Melt," two open-mic performance showcases in Bushwick, New York, the first at Tyrone Tripoli's Gallery Petite, and the second at the Ambrosia Elixirs courtyard. Each showcase featured over fourteen artists working in the disciplines of drag, comedy, rap, acting and performance art. The purpose of the showcase was to create new social networks for emerging multidisciplinary artists in New York and to give artists a platform to try out new ideas and experiment.
